Podcasts, Comic Cons and Magic!!.Just in case you didn't notice on your way here... we now have a Podcast! As of this posting we've just recorded the third episode. It should be up by this weekend. Be sure to check it out and let us know what you think. There have been so many events since the last update that there's no way to cover them all. I'll try to share as much as I can, though. Again, please forgive the slow updates. I hope the Audio Update can fix that. Our Magic: The Gathering tournaments are now every week, on Thursdays. Thursday, October 28 will be our first booster draft. Don't miss it! Shanice and Paige check out some Magic during our calendar photo shoot, but more about that later. First let's talk about Champion City Con 2010. This year was even bigger and better than last year. For the most complete coverage visit Comic Related and search "champion city". There's tons of photos, blogs and podcasts. And visit Underground Video Network for all of the video coverage. Here are a few photo highlights.
Tim Seeley and Daniel Leister(and Paige), the creative team behind Hack/Slash. These guys were so awesome. They even stuck around for the after-party like champs. We had a blast. Thanks again guys! Lisa, Chuck, John and Ron Fortier. All part of the Comic Related Family, of which there were about 60 in attendance, from all over the country. Thank you ALL for coming so far and helping to make this year great! This year's costume contest, hosted by Mike Watson and Victor Dandridge was an absolute blow-out. The lecture hall was standing room only for this event. Andy(Spider Jerusalem) and Marissa(Cassie Hack) came all the way from Pennsylvania to win the costume contest and on accepting their awards, Andy knelt and proposed. She said yes! Double congratulations! Tyler aslo came came from Penn. and won an award for his Scarlet Spider. And we certainly can't leave out Katie-Kat as Spider-Girl. We released the 2011 Champion City Girls Calendar at this year's convention. We still have a few copies left at the shop. Be sure to check it out. I'm not going to give you any spoilers so here are a few of the pictures we didn't use. Shanice & Paige. Thanks again ladies, you're awesome! Paige did much of the photography and most of the editing, too. She rocks! Shanice rocks, too! Special Thanks to Kitty and the rest of the Champion City Girls for making it all happen! As far as current news goes, I'm working on plans to expand the shop into a larger location and trying to get one whole day off. They don't seem to be compatible activities. HAHAHAHA Check the Main Street Audio Update for the latest developments. Thank you all for reading! 'Til next time. Peace. |
